Bribie Island is a beautiful place and has many dog friendly beaches. Note that many are online only, so check the signs when you arrive as these rules change frequently.
There is this very small beach area next to Bribie Island. This place is now on a leash in front of the grass. If you have a dog that you are afraid to let out, this is a great place to check out.
Since the beaches are dog friendly these days, it’s a lovely stretch of beach with almost 4km of sandy beaches, so it’s definitely a great place if you enjoy sand between your toes (and feet).
But there are other beaches on Bribie Island. It’s a nice quiet place and a great place to enjoy the sunset. On the trip we met Rocky and Tyler who were having fun with the leash. You’ll also need to check the brand, as we’ve got leashed and off-leash options for us in this area.

This beach is currently being tested as a dog friendly beach near Moreton Bay (north of Brisbane) and is considered one of the best beaches for dogs! When you arrive, be sure to check for off-leash zone markings. It is currently located between Vallin Avenue and Joseph Crescent and is only available at certain times of the day.
Located north of Brisbane, this is a very popular dog park. Some parts are off-leash and some are dog beaches, so depending on what you like, you have the best of both worlds.
Sandgate / Shorncliffe Mud offers something a little different for your four-legged friend. A dog on a leash walks from Doug’s Cafe to Second Avenue. Bring your own shoes or do us a favor and go barefoot!
It is a very popular place with dog owners and children. This is one of those beaches that has a small section of the beach for dog lovers and another for walking along the water. Now, of course, we’ve noticed many owners throwing balls and sticks into nearby water for the dogs to enjoy jumping around (great on a hot day!)

Why not jump back on the boat and spend the day. It may not be the closest beach to me, but the beautiful island of Coochiemudlo is a short boat ride from Victoria Point (about 10 minutes). Right now you can go this way and go this way and walk 5 minutes from the ferry terminal. It’s a little different and away from the crowd.
Formerly a dog park, this is a classic place to bring your dog. It has recently become a site due to environmental concerns, but there is an enclosed area nearby where your dog must escape. This pet-friendly beach is huge, with obstacles for your canine friend to run and enjoy, and a picnic area to sit and watch them have fun! There really is something for everyone!
If you live downtown and the beach isn’t your thing, there are plenty of shelters for your canine friends. We chose several slightly different locations, but with the same water. They are located in and around Brisbane. They are all beautiful places and great places to walk and see.
Just 15 kilometers north of Brisbane is this beautiful nature reserve. Anyone north of Brisbane knows about Bunia Creek Crossing! It’s busy on the weekends, but quieter on weekdays and one of our favorite places to take your pup (so far). Picnickers are also welcome in the area, with picnic areas and many hiking trails around. There are waterways in the area where you can see a lot of people kayaking/rafting.

This is another great place to visit with your furry friend. The area was part of the Council’s plan to create an undisturbed environment for dogs to enjoy a great run. It’s a spectacular area that stretches for several kilometers, so there’s plenty of room for everyone, including dog-friendly lakes. In summer, this place is very busy, but in the evening it is not lit up.
It is located in the southern part of Brisbane (Ipswich) and is a very popular picnic spot. It replaces the water and is a great refuge for birds. There are picnic tables and playground equipment all around. Please note that this area is on a leash only, but dogs are welcome
