I have been searching for a long time for the perfect place to bring my family for a week long vacation in Greece. One of our favorite beaches is Seaton Limnia Beach. Seaton Limnia Beach is located in a valley that leads to the sea in a narrow area between two cliffs, and the turquoise water turns a deep blue when it meets the sea. This is a real secret, and not one I would recommend for children or anyone with behavioral issues. You have to walk down a steep slope to the little white sand, no equipment of any kind. But the payoff is huge, and if you go at the right time, you might just have a goat.
The beautiful beach of Elafonisi doesn’t hurt, it’s perfect for families because the water is very shallow and there are pools where children can play safely. This is one of the most touristic places in Crete, because it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe (and it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world), so you remember if you go in high season. until the time of our visit allowed us to see it without the usual summer crowds and it was one of our favorite evenings in Crete.

On our last night, we went to a restaurant that blew our socks off. Near the old town of Chania, facing the Neo Chora beach is Panj Restaurant. I love beautiful cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture, so Chania’s Old Town did not disappoint. The Venetian harbor is the heart of the city, and here you will find a beach lined with cafes, bars and restaurants. You should enjoy a romantic walk between old buildings that have been converted into small hotels, shops and houses where people live. There are different parts of the old city, each with its own character. This is a great place to eat, drink, shop and watch the sunset against the backdrop of Chania’s old port.
Crete is the perfect place for all kinds of holidays, but I hope I’ve been able to show you that it can be considered a child-friendly holiday that doesn’t involve mouse ears or the usual group of children. The whole family enjoyed the trip, and we made great memories in Greece.
