Dog Friendly Resorts Washington – There’s something about January that makes me want to sit down with my calendar and plan trips for the year ahead. It’s so cold and dark outside that curling up with a laptop and planning some adventure is incredibly satisfying.

Even though we took a break from our extensive international travel during the pandemic, we wanted to get to know the Seattle area and all its fun (and dog-friendly!) weekend getaways. After ten years in NYC and Chicago, it’s so fun to come back and rediscover old vacation spots, and check out all the cool new glamping sites, boutique hotels, and unique Airbnbs that have popped up here. Most of all, I loved how many dog-friendly options there are for your stay. I’m so happy when we take Dave and Lizzie on vacation with us.

Honestly, Cohoe Oceanfront stole my heart with its waterfront fire pit. Although this Oregon Coast cottage is a bit far from Seattle, its beautiful modern interior and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean are worth the drive. Dogs under 25 pounds are welcome in select roomsā€”more details here.

My New Year’s resolution is to stay in a dream cabin in St. Petersburg as soon as possible. Edward – Should be easy as it’s half an hour drive from the city. I’ve been dreaming for a long time to be in a famous A frame on the Insta page, and this year I decided to do it. Ty River Cabin Co. Offering three different beautiful A-frame cabins located in the heart of the Mt. National Forest. Baker-Snoqualmie, and all three accept pets for a fee. A word to the wise – it’s hard to book considering their awesome Insta posts get thousands of likes. Pet information is listed under each room information.

We had a great Easter weekend in Semao in 2019 and I was looking forward to the opportunity to return to this beautiful landscape and remote coastline. Steps from the Canadian border, this cozy resort is the perfect base camp for some of Northern Washington’s best hiking and spectacular coastal views. They are very dog ā€‹ā€‹friendly and puppies are welcomed with their own bags, bed and (at least on our visit) a gift. Here are the details about the dog.

I want a unique escape, and Winthrop Rolling Hats certainly delivers. These tiny homes were designed by Seattle-based Olson Corner Architects as a modern alternative to campers. Well, it’s not technically available yet, but we’ve signed up for alerts to save after the launch of these beautiful camper trailers in Olympic National Park. They offer creature comforts beyond standard campsites, while providing a secluded and sustainable way to get out into nature. I loved the new Water’s Edge Suites at this historic Orcas Island inn, which offer private balconies overlooking the bay. I can already see myself hanging out with the book. If you follow us on Instagram, you know that we make quick trips to Seabrook every chance we get. This perfect beach town on Washington’s beautiful Pacific coast is honestly everything I look for on vacation – a beautiful town with wonderful shops and restaurants, plenty of rental options, and a sandy, beautiful beach. Most rentals welcome puppies.

With views of Lake Washington, Woodmark offers a blissful escape just a short drive outside of downtown Seattle. Explore downtown Kirkland’s shops and restaurants, take a dip or relax at the spa. If you haven’t heard of Tentrr yet, you’re missing out. We stayed with them twice (in Vermont and during the trip to Maine we wrote about here) and each trip was amazing. Basically, they built luxury safari tents on exceptional pieces of privately owned land, like this beautiful fruit farm near Meade, Washington. You can also pay a little extra to have a slice of their fruit delivered to your place or some fresh eggs from their farm for a delicious outdoor scrambled egg. Admittedly, Idaho is a bit far from Seattle, but we’ll travel any distance to stay in this cool place. Plus, the little details in the building like the sauna and the antique coffee grinder really make me cringe. Pets are allowed, but depending on the stairwell entrance, you have to decide if this is a fun vacation for you.
