Sergio arrived before we left to meet the dogs and we kept in touch via email as they wanted to make sure they knew everything about the dogs (I had a 4 page printout of course). MY NERVES ARE HORRIBLE.
I emailed Coco and Sergio when Bitzy first had a seizure. I was afraid that they wouldn’t agree to look at it. I was very nervous, but they calmed my nerves. They had experience dealing with seizures in dogs and gave me a lot of helpful tips for dogs with seizures. They prepared a complete medical plan for Bitzy, which they sent to me before the trip in case anything happened. Of course, I was worried about B, but I was 100% sure that he would be taken care of. He died a week before we left… but if Bitzy had been here longer, Coco and Sergio would have been better equipped to handle the situation than I was.
Of course they came anyway and spent TWO weeks with our Ruby. He was great with them. Ruby has a hard time getting along with a lot of people, so we were happy to see her fall in love with them. They both have the BEST ENERGY and Ruby needs to be home, she’s so comfortable! He went to the beach a TON, walked 3 times a day, went out to eat with them, cuddled with them all the time, and they even worked on his separation anxiety when we were gone. She lived her best life and we get LOTS of photos + full coverage of what they did every day. They went above and beyond with our fur baby.
When we returned from our trip and walked through the door, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to sit with her old parents or her new ones. The cutest and even sweetest thing was how much he missed them after he left.
