Let your dog roam nature in the best parks. The popular Billy Goat Trail in C&O Canal National Historic Park has two trails that allow dogs. Section B is a somewhat more difficult hike at 1.4 miles long, while Section C is 1.6 miles long and suitable for beginners. The trail winds along the beautiful Potomac River, and while you’re there, check out the famous Great Falls.

Montgomery County offers easy access to a crossroads of new and exciting cuisines, rich history, and outdoor adventures. Enjoy your weekend with classic Maryland flavors. Sometimes you just need to get out of town for one night! Since Zach and I have been incredibly busy with work, we decided to spend the night in Baltimore, Maryland. So on Saturday morning we packed our bags and headed north. The drive from Arlington to Baltimore is amazing, especially on weekends. We were able to get there in less than an hour.

Before I started planning my trip, I consulted with Charm City residents @ipartywithbrucewayne and @IbelieveinHD. They recommended some great dog activities, but due to time constraints and weather we weren’t able to check them all out. I think we should go back!

Pet Friendly Rentals In Ocean City, Maryland

Ah, that was the real reason for the weekend trip. We love exposure! This year our schedule allowed us to attend the Wildlife Expo in Maryland. The exhibition was held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 15 minutes north of Baltimore.

While there, Navy visited his good friend @mayathedox at the @sassywoof booth. Navy Dad used his credit card to buy two adorable Sassy Woof bunnies. My best find at the Expo is this super cool Scotch Roller in a navy color option. We’ve seen advertisements for such tools, but we’ve never seen them in real life. I mean, they did and we’re officially obsessed.

Zach, Navy, and I have been racing Dock Dogs for a long time. Hmm… do you think the Navy can be a dog?

Our hotel was only a few blocks from the Inner Harbor, so we were able to wander around at sunset, get some Navy Instagram-worthy content, and see all the sights. We passed by a beautiful restaurant with a seasonal terrace. I think these places will become more popular as the weather gets better! Luckily, the Starbucks on the Inner Harbor patio was open so we were able to drink coffee outside and mingle with the Navy.

Pet Friendly: Bring Your Furry Friends On Family Vacation

We couldn’t resist stopping by one of the shops around the Inner Harbour. Lululemon in Harbor East is dog-friendly. There are also plates and water bowls for your dog. All teachers showed great love and respect for the Navy.

Tip: Don’t assume a place is dog-friendly just because Google tells you it’s a chain. We always call ahead and ask the site manager if we can bring our dog into the store. Cocktail hour at Kimpton Monaco Baltimore

I love that Kimpton hotels are dog friendly. Because of our great time at the Kimpton Goodland Santa Barbara with Navy, Zach is the proud owner of an IHG credit card. Kimpton Hotel offers the most affordable packages for pets. But they may also come at a price. we used

Dogs Love Mountain Maryland

We loved taking the lobby to Navy for Kimpton’s cocktail hour. After a long day of exploring, it was nice to sit down and enjoy a simple meal with a glass of wine and blueberries. Kimpton Monaco allowed the Navy to sit with us and enjoy their complimentary coffee and tea bar.

We’ve selected the best casual weekend getaways in Baltimore. Some restaurants participating in Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week have extended their hours through the weekend. Zach and I have attended Restaurant Weeks in other cities, but Baltimore had the best deals. We decided to eat at Sullivan’s Steakhouse, which offers a seasonal dog patio. Homeland is closed for much of the winter, so the crew was asleep while we ate our leftover steak.

I love that hotels have nice restaurants. Luckily, B&O Restaurant calls the Kimpton Monaco Hotel home. After filling up on Saturday we decided to stay nearby and go to B&O Restaurant. We don’t like to leave Navy alone in a room, but she feels better when she’s under a few layers.

The menu looked really nice and we wanted to try everything, but we decided on eggs and homemade gravy, Zach had a Chesapeake omelet, and the table ordered Old Fashioned Donuts.

Even though it was a short trip, the weekend felt full of truly amazing experiences. When I return to Baltimore, I definitely plan to come back and experience Charm City when the weather gets a little warmer. Next time, Baltimore! This post is part of the Ultimate Pet Friendly Road Trip series, a 10-month, 15,000-mile journey of the best road trips in each of the lower 48 states of the United States.

The Chesapeake Bay is the largest body of water in North America, stretching about 200 miles from the Susquehanna River in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to Norfolk, Virginia, where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. With over 11,000 miles of coastline, longer than the entire West Coast, hitting the beach is a great way to enjoy the bay. But to get better
