Best Pet Friendly Resorts In Goa

Best Pet Friendly Resorts In Goa – As Goa has slowly transitioned from a weekend destination to a tourist destination (thanks to the pandemic), it has become common for tourists to bring their pets on holiday. Even among Goans living in the state, there is a growing trend to foster, shelter or take pets to the beach. On the one hand, I’m happy! I mean, who wouldn’t be happy to have these adorable four-legged hearts at a pet-friendly restaurant or hotel, even if it’s someone else? Happy soon, amirite?

There are many pet-friendly cafes and restaurants in Goa, and I visited a few with my dog Bailey. Here is a short list of pet friendly cafes/restaurants in Goa:

Beno is a quaint and quiet little garden restaurant in a quiet corner of Benolim. It’s open air and spacious and its aesthetic vibes compete well with the beautiful, delicious food it serves. In the cafe they prepare a pleasant offer for the most delicious breakfast. Plus, it’s so much easier to spend the workday with your pet. They are pet friendly and offer free Wi-Fi for dinner. I recommend ordering burgers and poi-wiches and desserts here! While Beno’s has booth-style seating and couches that are perfect for pet-friendly dining, pets prefer more traditional restaurant-style seating. So call before you go and ask if you can sit in the booth/outdoor area. Additionally, Beno will provide pet food and water for an additional fee if you request it, so you can order your pet a chicken (or vegetable) meal with a bowl of plain white rice and water. They also allow for outdoor dog food, which is great if you want to bring your pet’s bottle or wet food with you.

Prana Cafe is another outdoor cafe in Anjuna that is loved by people and their pets. Featuring attractive wooden furniture and art displays, the cafe has a very modern, sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. The space is lush with nature and offers a view of green fields stretching to the horizon. Prana Cafe is known for its clean recipes and smoothies/juices that are great for a post-cat detox. This clean space is pet-friendly and provides a water bowl for dogs.

Adjacent to Prana Cafe in Anjuna, the pet-friendly Baba O Rum is one of the most popular restaurants in Goa. Known for thin crust pizzas, premium breads, croissants, pastries and all-day breakfast, this restaurant is a must-see whether you have pets or not. Baba-au-Rhum is almost always full and if it’s crowded, I wouldn’t be comfortable taking my dog here because he’d be disturbed by people or stressed by the activity. But if you have a normal puppy, get it here.

If you’re looking for a fresh, modern Santorini vibe, Toro Toro is the place to be. The spacious outdoor area is a breath of fresh air with a bright white and blue theme and wooden furniture. Your pet will love hanging out at this restaurant, where they can even munch on the many treats on offer. However, there are musical performances in the evenings, so it may not be best for your fur babies to be there during those hours. I have yet to bring Bailey with me while I eat at Toro Toro, and I hope to soon.

Kefi is a cozy and lively little restaurant on the Assagao-Anjuna road. It is located in a quiet area and offers a variety of authentic Lebanese dishes. This can be a great place to take your pet, especially if they like to walk. The road is not too congested and it is a really peaceful ride. Don’t forget to try their desserts and Levantine platters for an authentic Lebanese dining experience. Their amazing Arabic pilaf is still a topic of conversation in my family, even though it was four months ago.

Rudy’s in Vagator is a large beautiful garden restaurant with ample seating inside and outside. Choose a table under the shade of their big tree and enjoy the silence and great music. The night is more pleasant with warm lights and cozy surroundings. It’s really comfortable and spacious so your pet won’t even disturb other diners. What else is there? The staff is very friendly and will do their best to make your experience memorable. I definitely recommend the spinach chaat, lamb butter tacos, peri-peri cabbage steak and lamb lasagna.

Sly Granny in Nerul is a great beach restaurant to visit if not in the middle of a hot summer afternoon. Last I checked they are pet friendly and even have their own little brown puppy. This restaurant in Nerul elegantly balances casual dining with a touch of class.

Meals? Where to start? How does grilled figs and cheese sound? Maybe the live mess plate with mustard barbecue sauce or the Memphis-style smoked pork ribs, both of which are the best I’ve ever tried. To be honest, it was hard to choose dishes like lamb ragout pappardelle, chicken liver pâté with truffles and pumpkin beans. Parmesan gnocchi and goat’s milk ricotta dumplings, chickpeas, asparagus and white cream are excellent, but if you want to stick to Indian food, try the spicy coorgi-style pork belly topped with a delicious raw mango chutney. Among the desserts, be sure to try the Machiato Brulee, a true work of art in both taste and texture. The classic lemon meringue tart was delicious and I recommend skipping the bisque cheese as there are better options to choose from. P.S. I have been twice so far and the last experience was not as good as the first in terms of service.

Hotel Review: The St. Regis Goa Resort, South Goa In India

I found an absolute gem in Saligao and I can’t tell you how happy I am to have such a great place to catch up in my neighborhood. Located at Casa Tipra in Grand Morodo, Kahwi has a small menu with poé sandwiches, salads, all-day breakfast and small and large plates. If you like strong coffee, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a place that does it like they do. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich and the chicken avocado salad. Located on a relatively quiet road near the fields, their location is a convenient place to get your bird.

I accidentally found three kisses in Benolim. I was in the area at 3:00pm and still hadn’t had lunch. After realizing 2-3 restaurants were closed, I stumbled upon it and was greeted by 5-6 dogs sleeping around the restaurant and a very friendly host named Tino. The restaurant was empty so Tino took the time to chat and said there were 8 dogs in the restaurant. He also said that more than 35+ dogs were taken in, fostered and adopted during Covid. Today he has more than three thousand of them on the shores of Benolim. I think everyone involved in animal welfare should be supported so they can do more to improve and help the voiceless.

Even if he didn’t reveal the good things he did, I would have liked the restaurant. He had character! Fun quotes posted on the board, lots of greenery, a thoughtful message about being grateful for what you have, good cabbage food and homemade fans! Although her father handed over the restaurant to Tina, she does her best to maintain the excellent quality of the food. They also have continental dishes on their menu for tourists. I will definitely be back to try this! Tino loves his pets so much that he turns away people who have problems with them at the restaurant. Only take your pet outside if there are a bunch of other dogs nearby.
