Since not all areas are pet friendly, this requires a little extra planning. Not only do you need to find dog-friendly accommodations, but you also need to fill your itinerary with dog-friendly activities.

While we’re looking at this list of dog-friendly East Coast vacations, I’ve also included some recommendations on where to stay and what to do so you and your adventure buddy can have the best vacation ever.

There are many dog-friendly beaches bordering the Atlantic. Let me spill the tea and tell you that Rehoboth Beach on the Delaware Bay is one of the best dog vacation locations on the East Coast.

If you’re in southern New Jersey, Rehoboth Beach is an easy getaway because the Cape May Lewis Ferry takes you directly to this charming seaside town, and dogs walk for free!
